[Axiom-developer] Axiom next release

The Feb 16, 2002 release has been uploaded to tenkan.
If you want developer access please let me know and
I'll arrange it with my serive provider.

Please make the following changes BEFORE you type "make"

1) do the CVS checkout into (pathname)
    The build tree starts at (path)/axiom/new/new due to a 
    mistake in the original CVS checkin
2) cd (pathname)/axiom/new/new
3) edit Makefile 
     change 
       SPD=/home/axiomgnu/new
     to
       SPD=(pathname)/axiom/new/new
4) edit Makefile.pamphlet
     change 
       SPD=/home/axiomgnu/new
     to
       SPD=(pathname)/axiom/new/new
5) export AXIOM=(pathname)/axiom/new/new/mnt/linux
6) type "make"
7) if the make succeeds you will be able to run axiom as:
     (pathname)/obj/linux/bin/interpsys
   
interpsys should correctly compute 1+1 

Note that there are still more algebra files to compile. 
Once all of the algebra compiles the plan is to move everything
to the axiom website on savannah and start using CVS for more
than bulk uploads.
