http://arstechnica.com/columns/linux/linux-20050907.ars is an article explaining the details of extending firefox in a cross-platform manner. it appears we can create our own protocol specifier, instead of http:// or ftp:// we can create axiom:// which would allow us to handle things like drag-and-drop on a web page. it's an interesting read so far... t
