Resolved now.
The variable contained a slash '/'. That is why is it did not work with delimiter / but did work with , delimiter.


Is there any way in which we write the command using such a delimiter which works irrespective of the special symbols present in the replacement string.

Hi! I've never seen that behaviour on other systems.
Can you arrange ssh access to the AIX system via internet so that I
can try to pinpoint the problem?
