I pushed an official release:

ftp://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/freedink/freedink-data-1.08.20080920.tar.gz

You can check how other distros are packaged if that can help:
http://www.freedink.org/snapshots/
(namely debian/ fedora/*.spec and gentoo/)
