Truetype font problem with Ghostscript

I need help! I've been trying for days to print truetype fonts using
Ghostscript 5.50 on my Linux system. Most TT Fonts without spaces in
the fontname print fine, but I've had no luck in getting TT Fonts with
spaces in the fontname to print (all fonts diplay to the screen just
fine). I'm using xfstt as my Font Server and configured Ghostscript
as instructed in the TT Fonts in Debian Mini-Howto (# xfstt --gslist
--sync >> /etc/gs.Fontmap).

Those fonts with fontnames consisting of two or more words, separated
by space(s), are giving me problems. I've tried the following
variations to my gs.Fontmap file:

(Bogus Font)    (/usr/share/fonts/truetype/bogusfont.ttf)  ;
/BogusFont      (/usr/share/fonts/truetype/bogusfont.ttf)  ;
/Bogusfont       (/usr/share/fonts/truetype/bogusfont.ttf)  ;
(BogusFont)     (/usr/share/fonts/truetype/bogusfont.ttf)  ;

On my computer at work (Win95), I downloaded a TT Font Utility that
displays the fontnames and postscipt names embedded in truetype font
files. I took note of these font names and modified my gs.Fontmap file
accordingly. I tried using all font names given by the Utility, as
well as many variations to these font names, but I still had no luck.

Next, I used the Windows TT Font Utility mentioned above to remove all
spaces from font names embedded in the truetype font files and saved
the changes. When I executed "# xfstt --gslist --sync >>
/etc/gs.Fontmap", the resulting fontnames in my gs.Fontmap file were
blank.

I'm beginning to think this is a bug in Ghostscript. Can anyone
confirm this? Are there any work-arounds? I would appreciate any
information or suggestions.

Thanks in advance.
