textalphabits and graphicsalphabits under gv

Hi all,

I'm trying to control the antialias used to display text and images under
gv in order to be able to see good quality EPS images under gv (gv 3.5.8,
GNU ghostscript 5.10).

I tried to insert (in ghostscript options):

Arguments box: -dBitsPerPixel=24

Antialias device box: 
-dNOPLATFONTS
-sDEVICE=x11alpha
-dTextAlphaBits=4
-dGraphicsAlphaBits=4


and I received an error message:

Unexpected interpreter error -15.
Error object: .putdeviceprops
Unrecoverable error: rangecheck in .putdeviceprops
etc. etc. etc.

If I use 

-dTextAlphaBits=1
-dGraphicsAlphaBits=1

it does not produce any error but of course it does not do anything better
than nothing.

Does anyone know how I should set up gv to display quality images better?
