Yes, you read correctly. I need a hand getting WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS
to work correctly. No, I'm not in the wrong place, I've got the right
newsgroup.

    Ready?

OK, I have a lawyer in the office that REFUSES to give up WP5.1. His
LaserJet III finally died, and now my boss wants me to find a way to let him
continue to use his DOS program, but also use ALL of the office printers.
None of the WP5.1 drivers will work with ANY of the printers we currently
use (I spent 2 days trying all 400+ WP5.1 print drivers). Our printers WILL
NOT process a post script file without first sending the printer a command
to switch into postscript mode from its default mode.

While experimenting with the generic PostScript driver, I was able to
get it to write the PS file to the local hard drive. I can use GsView to
open, and then print the file using the standard windows print drivers.
What I would like to know is if it is possible to automate this process
using GhostScript. Can GS7 be set up to scan a given directory every x
number of seconds looking for a specific file (print.ps or any other
name...), print the file using the standard windows print drivers, then
delete the file it has printed?

    Any ideas are welcome
