Allright, with a bit of perl knowledge you should be able to change the
script.
So far the script stops when an error occurs at the conversion.

Instead of dying you can of course ignore the image, remove it from the
list of images to index and then continue the extraction.
I do not think that it is much work.
Still I think that it is better when the system tells you about errors
and does not just proceed. Like this you can find the corrupted images
and remove them before doing a proper indexing.
