I don't think I've every typed `C-x C-q' and for toggle-read-only I have:
(global-set-key "\C-x\C-^" 'toggle-read-only)
In fact I find that `C-x C-q' is bound to kbd-macro-query for me, but I
don't see if/where that I did that explicitly in my ~/.emacs....
