The Solaris 2.6 was ix86, 2.8 was for Sparc. Unfortunately, I don't have the x86 version any more.
If it's x86, do you have a __do_global_ctors_aux symbol in your binary (you can use the GDB "info symbol" command to find out)?
Well, _do_global_ctors_aux is defined in emacs.c, and I have it under Linux. It seems to get defined if you build with gcc.
