Gentlemen, I hope you'll excuse me but it's time to criticize what one
sees in the Info buffer top node after a standard install. I have run
it thru nl(1).
8 GNU Packages
9 * Gawk: (gawk). A text scanning and processing language.
10 * Gawkinet: (gawkinet). TCP/IP Internetworking With `gawk'.
11 Individual utilities
12 * awk: (gawk)Invoking gawk. Text scanning and processing.
hmm, a separate item from 9 and 10.... and we have a ultilities
/individual utilities distinction...
13 Utilities
14 * Bash: (bash). The GNU Bourne-Again SHell.
15 Emacs
16 * Ada mode: (ada-mode). The GNU Emacs mode for editing Ada.
17 * Autotype: (autotype). Convenient features for text that you enter
frequently
18 in Emacs.
19 * CC Mode: (ccmode). Emacs mode for editing C, C++, Objective-C,
20 Java, Pike, and IDL code.
48 Texinfo documentation system
49 * Info: (info). Documentation browsing system.
50 Editors
51 * Elisp: (elisp). The Emacs Lisp Reference Manual.
hmmm, can't this be stuck in the emacs section... or was it due to me
installing it later.
52 Emacs
53 * Emacs/W3: (w3). Emacs/W3 World Wide Web browser.
54 * Emacs/W3 FAQ: (w3-faq). FAQ for Emacs/W3 World Wide Web
browser.
urm... back to emacs stuff
55 Texinfo documentation system
hey, didn't you just say that on 48?
74 * Gnus: (gnus). The newsreader Gnus.
maybe stuff into Emacs section
201 Programming Languages
202 * Gawk: (gawk). A Text Scanning and Processing Language.
Hurm? didn't we see this on 9?
224 GNU Packages
225 * Make: (make). Remake files automatically.
weren't GNU Packages gotten over with on 8?
271 GNU Emacs
hey, no fair bringing that up again.
272 * CC mode: (ccmode). The GNU Emacs mode for editing C, C++,
Objective-C
273 and Java code.
it's like Deja Vu .Com ...
307 Individual utilities
wait up, is this what they call flashbacks? Am I now having a flashback?
315 * automake: (automake). Making Makefile.in's
hmm, maybe stick with the make reference.
Summary: almost as jumbled as the things I write.
