Including newline?  Really?
This means that on the following screenshot
the file 'file3' should be marked as well?

Here the beginning of the region is at the beginning of the line with 'file1',
and the end of the region is at the beginning of the line with 'file3'.
I can't believe that 'file3' should be marked only because its newline
is inside the region.
