bug#45748: 28.0.50; fit-frame-to-buffer ignores leading spaces

Neither can I but the outcome is annoying.  What would you suggest to
do?  I ask because with

 XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

the leading space on the first line must be shown.  Maybe I don't see an
all too obvious fix here.
