No install of GTK+ (and I don't run GIMP on this machine either).
The dynamic libraries and header files (build for win32 by gimp.org) are
just copied to \bin, \lib and \include.
(the same for all other packages used to build gnubg).
And no GTK themes (unless you refer to gnubg.gtkrc. using default theme),
just Win desktop themes (also default one).
A Hint Window after a 11 move takes 40 seconds to show (after the evaluation
stopped).

Enlarge the Hint Window to display 39 moves (1152x864 screen resolution).
(it takes 10 seconds to show that 'new' window)
Minimize the Hind Window, Maximize again: again 10 seconds.
Click on the 2nd move.
Each line of those 39 refreshes taking ... 10 seconds to highlight that
move.

and yes, I am very curious about performances on other Win32 machines.

I can make a self-extracting package and upload it, if anyone is willing to
take a look.
