Thanks for the tip; however, I'm still having problems. That page
suggests that I create a .rpmrc file with a line like
topdir: /u/tchow/mysubdirectory
in it. But when I do that, I get an error:
% rpmbuild --rebuild gnubg.rpm
error: bad option 'topdir' at /u/tchow/.rpmrc:1
Installing gnubg.rpm
error: cannot write to %sourcedir /usr/src/redhat/SOURCES
error: gnubg.rpm cannot be installed
I'm using RPM version 4.3.3; has there been a change in syntax or
something?
