I haven¹t followed up with Christian about how things are suppose to work,
but from my testing the Autosave data gets stored in your home directory
under /.gnubg/backup (similar place to where you find the gnuvgautorc file).
There you will find SGF files for matches that are autosaved. They may have
unusual temporary names but you should be able to find the data you are
looking for. The question for Anthon is how is autosave suppose to work
from the user perspective. Is looking in the backups directory the intent.
