I'm pretty sure the 'position' (with regard to checkers) is set up
correctly. It's getting gnu to accept the 'direction' of real life play
that's the problem. I've attached a photo of the live game I am trying to
reproduce in gnu.

As I mentioned before, the colours are correct but the direction of movement

No we are not playing a monster backgame (would be interesting though!)

That is correct - red is playing anti-clockwise.

That is correct. At this stage the gamestate is not correct in gnu. My point
is I am trying to find the right way to reproduce the gamestate and player
perpective in the real-life photo. It doesn't seem to be a straightforward
task with gnubg?

I'm pretty sure player turn has been set to be red. Red (me) has rolled 3-2
in the move list (move #4).

I've also attached a more detailed image of the GUI's red direction of play
arrow indicator (circled next to the 1-point)

This shows the red bearing off quadrant is at the top right of the board I
would like the red bearing off quadrant to be at the bottom right of the
board instead, if this is possible in gnubg.
