I'd like to clarify. In response to Jason's question about a
compilation problem on SunOS 4.1.4 I suggested that the denizens of
bug-gnulib might be able to clarify the way forward for his particular
problem (e.g. whether they would accept a patch).

Findutils uses a substantial amount of gnulib code; I would not want
the gnulib maintainers to think that I thought they should put in
extra effort to maintain support for SunOS 4.1.4. I don't have the
spare time to try to support SunOS 4.x either, so I wouldn't expect
you guys to support it. I did say it "would be nice" if it worked,
but then it would be nice if everything in general worked. Sadly,
maintainers' time is finite.
