The previous 3 patches look fine and benefit users with
a reduced dependence on libacl.
This patch is a lot more invasive though, and while it
looks fine, I think I'll hold off on it a week or so
until I cut a new stable release of coreutils from gnulib.
I'll push the first 3 patches now.
How does that sound?
