Likewise. I have fewer problems with the lighter-weight gettext-h and 
I've been switching to it with no regrets so far.

I don't know what the Gnulib manual means when it says that the gettext 
module is needed "For a package that wants to comply to GNU Coding 
Standards", with the implication that using gettext-h doesn't comply 
with the coding standards.
