I just did the same thing with same results. This is teh only thing I
can add at this point....
[mhaque@neptune core]$ rpm -qa | grep gcc
gcc-c++-2.95.2-3
gcc-objc-2.95.2-3
gcc-2.95.2-3
[mhaque@neptune core]$ rpm -qa | grep glibc
glibc-profile-2.1.3-21
compat-glibc-5.2-2.0.7.1
glibc-devel-2.1.3-21
glibc-2.1.3-21
