Hi - I tried quite hard to reproduce this problem, but I have been not
able to see it so far.

Ahm - since the problem is so persistent and weird, the only suggestions I
can give you is to also hard-remove all the previous GNUstep directories,
as in:

su -c "mv /usr/GNUstep /usr/GNUstep.backup"

su -c "mv /usr/lib/GNUstep /usr/lib/GNUstep.backup"

This should actually never be needed, but I don't know what else to
suggest.

Tonight or tomorrow evening I will install from scratch GNUstep on my
brand new portable computer -- I'm using Debian, so there is hope that I
will be able to see the bug and fix it. :-)
