Alright, I checked out a fresh copy and the bug is still there -- not only
that, but the title bar close button does not disappear when you pull up a
transient.
It may be that there is a race going on that is only apparent on my ancient
machine here. :-)
My fix is completely wrong, so I'll try to look into this a little deeper.
