Looks like this is a windows manager specific problem. I am using KDE 3 and have been doing so for quit some time. As this problem only did show up in the last weeks it is still caused by an recent change. What window manager are you ans Serg using? Could you try KDE?
I also notice very strange behaviour when moving a teared off menu window around to fast. It just starts to jump around. Sorry, that it looks like I am only critisising the recent changes it is just that I don't mention the things I like about them.
