How do set the severity of a bug ?

I;ve just started using the savannah system to put bugs into, and have noticed
that everything I submit comes out with "Severity:  5 - Major" on it,
even for trivial little Makefile fixes like the last one.

Now I have looked long and hard on the submit page, but I cant find
anywhere to actually set this ? Am I missing something or do all bugs
start of classified as 'major' until someone ahs looked at them and
assigned them to someone ?
