Follow-up Comment #1, bug #12680 (project gnustep):

Well basically custom cell (like NSPopupButtonCell, NSComboBoxCell etc.)
support with NSTableView doesn't work currently (I doubt it ever worked).
I hoped to correct this issue but I haven't found the time until now.
