Follow-up Comment #2:
The reported problem has been fixed in CVS. The cell now registers itself,
and not the control view, for this notification and the handling method has
been moved to the cell.
This does not resolve all problems with popup bottons in tables. For example
the key handling for the menu is still implemented on the control view. But
using the mouse only should work now.
