Details:

# defaults read |grep -i nsportismessage
NSGlobalDomain NSPortIsMessagePort YES

gpbs is running

openapp AClock -or-
openapp Terminal
... causes gdnc to be launched.  When asking on #gnustep, Matt Rice noted that
applications that needs certain kinds of network access may indeed still want
to launch gdnc, but generally with NSPortIsMessagePort set, most applications
should not, and yet, gdnc is launching.
