Bug: art backend restarts xserver

Hi, thanks for your job.

When I select the art backend the xserver (xorg) restarts.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Select the art back end 
            defaults write NSGlobalDomain GSBackend libgnustep-art
2. Open any GNUStep application e.g GWorkspace
3. Use the application normally, the xserver will restart at any time (on application start or after a while)

Fedora Core 4 (2.6.12-1.1447_FC4)
xorg-x11 6.8.2-37.FC4.45

windowmaker 0.92.0
gnustep-make-1.11.1
gnustep-base-1.11.1
gnustep-gui-0.10.1
gnustep-back-0.10.1
(compilation flags CFLAGS='-O3 -pipe -march=pentium3 -mfpmath=sse -msse -mmmx'
                                                        
CPPFLAGS='-O3 -pipe -march=pentium3 -mfpmath=sse -msse -mmmx'
                                                        
CXXFLAGS='-O3 -pipe -march=pentium3 -mfpmath=sse -msse -mmmx', 
                               
same behaviour with -O2 instead of -O3)

In /var/log/messages I get this entry

Sep 30 00:16:40 MAGI gdm[9443]: gdm_slave_xioerror_handler: ha ocurrido un error fatal de X - Reiniciando :0

If I select the xlib backend everything works fine.
