other open source projects seem to consider spending time to file bugs a form
of contributing too.

thanks but i am porting a large codebase from Mac OS X, so sticking is not an
option, but i will stop filing bugs about missing APIs now and just file
"real" bugs (#34433, #34445 , #34453, #34454)
