groff: error: 'GROFF_FONT_PATH' is not defined; can't find 'DESC' file in path
/usr/local/share/groff/site-font:/usr/local/share/groff/1.22.4/font:/usr/lib/font


groff on Savannah does not produce this diagnostic message.

If you can reproduce the problem with stock groff from Savannah Git HEAD, this
ticket can be reopened.
