I disagree. Why should the docs get synced only for this release and
remain outdated in the main trunk? I know work is often duplicated by
chance, but duplicating it by design is not somethin I appreciate.

I have several proposed fixes marked on paper; if this policy is
confirmed I'll only type-in and submit the missing items for the
command set ("serial" etc).

Then, 0.6 is planned for December and after that the cross-platform rewrite?
Or is the cross-platform stuff planned after 1.0, in 2004?

I'm sorry to go on boring with cross-platform support, but now it
looks like I'll be involved in supporting a device needing a boot
loader. I'd like to know if we'll be contributing to the new grub or
making ours from scratch.
