BOOT with GRUB from CDROM

Hello all,

I was checking  the GRUB online manual but did not find information
about how to configure GRUB to boot also from ATAPI CDROM drive (GRUB
installed on hard disk). Also the forums did not find an answer. Can you
help with this and also add some helpful information to the online
manual??

I tried following configuration but did not succeed:

menu.lst file:

title ATAPI CDROM (first device on second IDE channel)
rootnoverify (cd0)
chainloader +1


device.map file:

(cd0)   /dev/hdc
