[bug #13239] Patch for hide-unhide feature to work on Windows 2K and XP

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #13239 (project grub):

I have not had the chance or need to see if the same issue, and need for such
a patch, exist on Windows releases prior to Windows 2000. The patch posted
below is needed (at a minimum) for Windows 2000 and XP.
