Run it as root which usually has all the permissions to access /dev/sda.

I suggest you to umount the pendrive just before running it inside qemu.

umount /dev/sda

To run as root if you are in ubuntu:

sudo su

and if you are in Debian

su

and then either your user password either your root password.
