Details:

I did a clean install of Debian 6 (Squeeze) at my laptop.
it uses grub 1.98+20100804-14

I did only get the startitems of Debian and Debian single in the grub.conf.

When i did a update-grub
Other operating systems were found:
eg:
Windows Recovery Enviroment (loader) (on dev/sda1)
Microsoft Windows XP Home Editons (on dev/sda2)

Puppy linux on dev/sda8 was again not found
This uses an vmlinuz and a initrd.gz

I have add an entry in 40_custom
So it works. But i think it must be possible to autodetect these files also.

Thanks

Erik
