As far as I can tell, I was:

$ cvs status configure.in

Also, the tarball I generated with `make dist' for export to the Alpha
was called guile-1.7.0.tar.gz.

Don't the dependencies take care of CVS updates, as one would expect?
If not, the ANON-CVS instructions should say so.
