Actually not - I was communicating with some users of ABC. ABC is  
used heavily when writing folk tunes. LilyPond seems to be able much  
better rendering, as well producing better MIDI output.

This is what I thought too: it is better if users of ABC are doing  
it, if possible. For one thing, they will know what output they want.
