Just an update here... I can reproduce the problem now.  Thanks for the  
more detailed
explanation.

This appears to be a problem with the LilyPond GUI app.  Unfortunately, the  
source
file I'm looking for (URLHandlerClass.py) does not reside in  
LilyPond.app.  :-(  See:
