Look at the attached image.  Isn't it possible to virtually split a
volta bracket into three parts, namely left, middle, and right,

  ___       ______________       _
  |1.   +                    +    |

where the middle part has a much smaller vertical extension than the
left and right part?  This would make a much better skyline.
