Pushed to staging as c618987255838a2af9813a69eb1f4f20a8df6315

So, finally the whole warning framework is in proper place. Now it remains  
to discuss whether we really want warning-as-error as default or not...

Thus, I'm removing the patch tag, but leaving the report open  
(status "New") with label "Needs-policy"
