Personally, I find that the German documentation in general is close to
unreadable since its sentence structure, grammar and choice of words is
far closer to the English version (or a word-by-word translation) than
appropriate.

I think it would really benefit if a good German _writer_ (instead of a
good German programmer) would rewrite most of it from scratch, then have
a good programmer check it for factual correctness.
