I need support of disks and partitions for Compaq raid controllers

Hi!  Months ago I tried to use Compaq's devices in parted: /dev/ida/c?d?p?
And I got error message(~ that this kind of device is not supported..).
So as I understood : device ida/..., cciss/..., rd/.. are not supported
by default implementation.

Is it possible to add this support.  How many changes should be done to code.
Is there any ready  patches.
If there are not so many changes needed, then may be I can add those changes to code by myself.
