Hi,
When i run the first command i get the following message:

"Warning : File sytetem was not cleanly unmounted! You should e2fsck.
Ignore/Cancel?"

When i say Ignore i get :

"(parted) You found a bug in GNU Parted.  Please email a bug report to address@hidden containing the version (1.6.1), and the following message:
Block 1730111 has no reference?  Weird"

Also e2fsck doesn't seem to work:
When i do
# e2fsck /dev/sda
i get:

"Couldn't find ext2 superblock, trying backup blocks...
e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a correct ext2
filesystem.  If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
    e2fsck -b 8193 <device> "

Note i have a scsi disk.Could someone help me with it..

thanks
rithin.

Apart from the etx2 typo, this looks right to me...

Cheers,
Andrew
