Re: Help resizing partitions!!!

This is what I have done:

A. I copy the context of "/home" to the root with
name "/foo". I used "mc", and tested various way,
so that symlink worked etc.

B. Then I unmounted the disk that hold my "/home".
Run the "fsconf", that is a disk handling
configuration.( I first tried to browse the
/etc/rm init ect.. but failed ) "fsconf" did the
work of never mount original "/home" disk again.
I rebooted and tested.

C. I tested if it worked, with rebooting and
testing if everything worked at "/home".( it did )

D. I then run the cd-bootable Linux distro
"Knoppix", to run "parted". I didn't manage to
create a bootdisk with "parted" on, that I first
was interested in.

E. "parted" made the job for me. I erased my
"/home" and "swap" disk.(I had problem with the
erasing swap with 'knoppix', because knoppix seams
to use that swap???  but I solved it with passing
parameters to the kernel at bootup. )

F. I resized my root "/" disk to fill up the
erased area, and created a swap partition on a old
SCSI disk.

( thats all, and it's seams to work!!! )

I choose to make swap on my SCSI disk because it's
faster. And I hope that I will not get so many
"segment fault", while compiling the kernel in the
future.. etc..
