Reboot after every change? Partboot and various questions

I'm using parted-1.6.6, and have 3 questions.
I have many changes to make to most of my ext2
partitions, none being / or /boot.
Should I reboot after every single partition change?
For example, this what I call a singe partition
change:
resize 7 XXXX XXXX
mkpartfs logical ext2 XXXX XXXX
cp 8 10
rm 8

Or, can I continue to resize more partitions during
this session?

Second: If I've created a new partition using:
mkpartfs logical ext2 XXXX XXXX,
can I use the move command? I've read all through the
info file, and still not sure when I can use the move
command, as opposed to resize. I know I can use the
resize to do everything, but will take many more
steps.
Sorry about the length of this message.

Third: I've read the man page for partboot, but not
sure how to use it. How is it supposed to be used?
