Hi there!
I know, it is mostly not your fault that I deleted my partition table, but I
guess you are the
best source to ask for help...
I tried to install the current Knoppix (Debian Linux) Version 3.4 on my company
laptop. I had some
difficulties with removing a former BSD partition and in the end all I could
do, was a (I don't
remember the exact phrases) complete "overwrite" of the partition table. OK, I
got a warning, but
it was not very alarming to me, since I see such warnings all day.
But this time, it made "whoops" and my complete partition table was gone.
The tool I used was qt-parted.
I need my data urgently back. The first two partitions were from Win XP, one
swap partition
and one from *BSD. - I need only the Win partitions back. The rest was for
playing around. But
the Win XP stuff I need for my company. If I can't get this dang thing to boot,
I guess I
may get into severe troubles...
When I turn on the computer, right now, It comes up with the BSD boot-loader,
but there are no
informations about the partitions any more, so it doesn't boot any more.
I also don't know the partition sizes exactly, since I didn't do the original
setup.
Can anybody help me, please?
Best regards!
Herbert
