Right. This is additional information which is useless unless you
have a computer handy. It's factorable data which in absolute should
be in the bibliography, had there been one. Personally, when writing
papers in LaTeX I don't leave URL in the text body, I'm applying just
the same here. When I cite a paper, I use \cite, I don't inline its
references.
(Well, when I answer ``right'' to ``...should be discontinued?'' I
just mean that that's *my* preference, but I'm certainly not claiming
other people should. Also, usually emails are shorter than URLs).
