I'd like to decrease the indentation of examples, but @exampleindent
also affects the indentation of tables (which I don't want).
I think you're talking about makeinfo output, right, not TeX output?
(You can get the latest texinfo.tex from ftp://tug.org/tex/texinfo.tex;
its output looks ok to me.)
Unfortunately, makeinfo uses a single variable
(default_indentation_increment) for tables and examples. Sigh. Alper,
can you look at that? Ideally, @exampleindent would not affect tables.
As for the blank line issue, @* doesn't fix it for me. But in any
case, it's certainly true that @exampleindent shouldn't generate any
output. Alper ... ?
I'll attach the test file I constructed.
