Sigh.  Nobody seems to read my posts or at least understand what I mean.

Which presently doesn't seem to work at all.  Try it.  Look at the bugs
I cited up in the thread.  By numbers.

Yes, transition is the only nontrivial part (apart from politics).
Ian left it as an exercise for the reader, and it's a damn hard one.
